About Us

The Giordano family originated from Rionero In Vulture, Italy, Basilicata providence. They migrated to America by boat in the late 60's. Once settled in the United States, they established home in Rochester, NY.

 

Giordano Imports started as a small stand in the deli building at the Rochester Public Market where they sold mineral water from the Basilicata Region and their own extra virgin olive oil. From here, the possibilities to bring European delicacy items was endless. With their love for cheese and meats, the family decided to import gourmet cheeses from Italy, Spain, and France.

Giordano's now carries over 150 different types of cheeses. They range from countries such as England, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, and France. You can also find specialty meats such as prosciutto, porchetta, salami, soppresata, sausage, speck, and many others.
